Our Client is a family-owned, internationalized brewing group specializing in the production, marketing, and distribution of beverages. It is 100% nationally and independently owned and maintains its headquarters in Spain. The company is looking for a Market Representative – USA to developing and manage commercial activities in California, focusing on both on-trade and off-trade execution, distributor management, and brand representation in the local market. The main goal is to drive distribution volume growth, establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure effective market penetration for the assigned portfolio. This is a middle-senior level position, heavily field-oriented. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, with experience in alcoholic beverages (ideally beer) and a proven track record in distributor management. Location: California (preferably Los Angeles or Southern California) Occupation: Full time Contract type: permanent Work model: remote with often accounts visits Key Responsibilities • Manage and develop the relationship with the sole state distributor in California. • Visit accounts daily (70–80% fieldwork, mainly on-trade). • Ensure brand presence and visibility at key points of sale. • Coordinate with the distributor’s commercial teams to align growth objectives. • Organize and oversee product activations and tastings (currently managed by an external agency). • Identify relevant local sponsorships and promotional opportunities. • Monitor sales performance in volume (e.g., goal to double the current ~50,000 cases over the coming years). • Work towards achieving double-digit growth with the distributor. • Submit weekly reports and participate in monthly remote meetings with the central team. Product Portfolio Approximately 5–6 SKUs for the California market. Formats: bottles and cans Channel split: 50% on-trade / 50% off-trade Territory Main area: California (preferably Southern California due to business concentration), but the role covers the entire state. In the future (1–3 years), the position may expand to other states, though this is not guaranteed. Remote work: residency in California (specifically Southern California) is required. Structure and Reporting Direct Manager is based in Florida Collaborates with distributor managers, internal teams, and USA Balearic Director Weekly remote meetings and monthly HQ meetings (Spain) Onboarding and initial support provided by the direct Manager (in-person and integrated into team meetings) Ideal Profile Experience • 5 to 10 years in commercial roles within the alcoholic beverage sector (preferably beer; wine and spirits also acceptable) • Proven experience in field sales and distributor management • Track record of volume growth and commercial execution • Knowledge of both on-trade and off-trade channels Skills and Competencies • Strategic profile with a hands-on and problem-solving mindset • High level of autonomy and proactivity • Analytical ability to track commercial metrics (volume, targets) • Willingness to adapt and learn internal processes • Residency in Southern California • Comfortable working remotely and using digital tools Education and Requirements • University degree • U.S. citizenship (mandatory) • Availability to travel within the state • Familiarity with collaborative tools and CRM systems • Fluency in English.
