Salary: 17.50 Primary Function: TheFurniture Sales and Donations Coordinatoris responsible forthe overall operationand appearance of theSafe Harbor Resale Shop furniture sales floor(locatednext door to the main ResaleShop),includingcustomer service, sales, and inventory.This position is also the primary contactforcommunity donorswho needsupport for larger/furniture donationsand works closelywith the furniture and delivery team to schedule andcoordinatethose pick-ups.This positionis expected to provideexcellentand professionalcustomer service to both shoppers and callers. This position has a40-hourwork weekwhichmust includebeing onsitefordirectfurniture salesduring hours of operation. (CurrentlyopenMonday, Wednesday,Fridayand Saturday from 9am-5pmbut may be flexibleor altered based on businessneeds.) This position directly reports to the Volunteer and DevelopmentManager,however,thisroleis alsosupported by and requires close collaboration with the Resale Store Manager and staff. This is afulltime,hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for benefits Supervisor:Volunteer and Development Manager PrimaryJob Responsibilities: Sales& Marketing • Greet andassistcustomers and processpurchases • Clean, price, and beautifully display merchandisein accordance withthrift store procedures • Ensure thelocationis clean and well-maintained at all times • Lead any opening or closing procedures for the Furniture Warehouse. • Collaborate with the Furniture Delivery team torefresh and rotate thefurnituresales floor, alsoidentifyingand sourcing itemsappropriate forthe main Resale Shop floor.This will include regular visits to offsite storage to view and select available items. • Collaborate with the Resale Store Manager and the Marketing and CommunicationsManager for efforts related todiscount or seasonal sales, social media marketing, and flyers,postersor other print materials. • Identifyitems which may beappropriate foronline salesand work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to support those efforts. In-Kind DonationRequests • Serve as the primary contact for community partners and donors wishing to donate furniture or larger donations requiring pick-up services. • Respond to all phone messages no later than the followingworking/business day • Scheduleand calendardonationpick-upsforthe Furniture and Deliveryteam • Support all documentation and trackingrequiredforcalls,donations, inventory, and scheduled pick-ups • Support the loading/unloading of donated goods as needed General • Participate in and support Resale Shop activities and events (staff meetings,displays,special projects,holiday reset etc.) • Support volunteersas needed • Other duties as assignedby Volunteer and Development Manager PrimaryQualifications: Education • High school diploma or GED equivalentrequired Work Experience • 2+years experiencein retail sales, customer service, or similar rolesrequired Core Skills • Excellentverbal, written,andinterpersonalcommunication skills • Abilityto work independently and as part of a team • Engages in positive public interaction with donors and community partners • Prioritizes tasks and manages time well in an evolving environment • Highlyorganized andability to schedule activities effectively • High degree of integrity and work ethic • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and discretion • Observant and security consciouswith ability to de-escalate if needed • Willingness to upholdSafe Harborstandards for safety, service,and efficiency • ProficientinMicrosoft OfficeSuite(Word, Excel, Outlook,Teams) • Possession ofa valid SC drivers licenseandclean driving record Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
