Position Description The IT Program / Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of enterprise technology projects and programs, with a strong focus on SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades. This role owns end-to-end delivery activities including project planning, governance, risk management, cutover planning, and post–go-live hypercare. The role works closely with cross-functional IT teams, business stakeholders, and external technology vendors to ensure successful delivery of complex technology initiatives. The individual may also act as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, ensuring teams follow Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles as appropriate. This position is non-technical but requires prior SAP S/4HANA deployment experience and strong cross-functional leadership capabilities. It sits above standard PMO support roles and below SAP functional or technical consulting positions. Key Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive project and program plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements for enterprise technology initiatives. • Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA program execution, including governance, cutover planning, mock cutovers, testing coordination, go-live readiness, and hypercare support. • Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives through close collaboration with internal IT teams, business partners, and external technology vendors. • Facilitate efficient and streamlined delivery processes between internal teams and external service providers. • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and milestones to stakeholders across multiple organizations using clear, data-driven, and quantitative reporting. • Ensure project and program objectives are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and resource constraints. • Provide accurate, insightful analysis and reporting for executive presentations, leadership reviews, and steering committee meetings. • Identify project and program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues to ensure timely delivery. • Manage technology product goals, forecasts, and roadmaps in partnership with technical and business teams, translating long-term objectives into actionable execution plans. • Guide teams through execution using standard delivery frameworks and methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches as appropriate. Required Skills • SAP ERP and SAP HANA knowledge • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ad hoc reporting and data analysis capabilities Preferred Skills • End-to-end SAP cutover planning and execution • Complex deployment and go-live planning • Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting and tracking) • Jira or similar Agile project management tools Experience Requirements • Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Technology • Minimum 3 years of experience in Program and/or Project Management • Demonstrated expertise as a Project Manager delivering enterprise-scale initiatives Preferred Experience • Proven ability to lead meetings, manage dependencies, and identify and mitigate risks • Experience coordinating work across large, cross-functional teams (including teams of several hundred people) • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at both technical and executive levels Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
