Role Overview: As a Senior Data Scientist at Saalex, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex datasets to drive strategic decision-making and develop advanced predictive models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable solutions that support mission-critical projects. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. - You will analyze large, diverse datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making. - You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to integrate data science solutions into operational workflows. - You will lead data exploration and feature engineering efforts to improve model accuracy and performance. - You will communicate findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - You will mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the continuous improvement of data science practices. - You will stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data science and machine learning. What You Bring: - You have a Master’s or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. - You have at least 5 years of professional experience in data science or a related analytical role. - You possess strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, and experience with machine learning frameworks. - You have expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools. - You have experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data platforms. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in defense, government contracting, or related regulated industries. - Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. - Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision techniques. - Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
