The Role: We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Operations Coordinator to support the growing Legal function at RYZE. As we prepare to bring on our first in-house counsel, this role will ensure Legal has the structure, organization, and support needed to operate efficiently and scale effectively. You’ll manage administrative workflows, contract routing, recordkeeping, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination. This role provides critical support to the Manager of Legal Operations and helps build the systems, SOPs, and operational backbone that the Legal team—and the broader organization—will rely on. No legal background is required. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates clearly, and brings order and momentum to every project. What You’ll Do Legal & Administrative Support Coordinate daily administrative tasks including contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and legal documentation. Manage signature routing, follow up with stakeholders, and keep processes on track. Maintain accurate digital records, folders, and repositories. Schedule internal and external meetings, including calls with outside counsel. Attend meetings as needed to document notes, action items, and follow-up tasks. Workflow & Process Management Assist with intake of legal requests and help prioritize tasks for the Legal Operations Manager. Update task lists and workflows in platforms such as ClickUp, Workday, and Google Workspace. Create and maintain trackers, dashboards, and basic reports for ongoing legal workflows. Support the development of SOPs, SLAs, templates, checklists, and documentation. Help standardize the submission, processing, and completion of legal requests. Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as a point of contact between Legal and teams including Finance, People Ops, Operations, and Marketing. Coordinate with outside counsel on deliverables, billing, and documentation needs. Assist in fielding or organizing urgent requests to protect Legal’s workflow and prioritization. Operational Support for Legal Counsel (When Hired) Prepare meeting materials, summaries, and assist with early-stage research or information gathering. Support onboarding of the attorney by helping establish workflows, templates, and intake systems. (Other related duties may be assigned.) What We’re Looking For 2+ years of administrative, coordination, or operational support experience (legal ops a plus but not required). Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Excellent follow-through with the ability to anticipate needs and work independently. High attention to detail and strong documentation habits. Experience with workflow systems such as ClickUp, Workday, Google Workspace, and Slack preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Calm, solutions-first attitude and ability to bring order and clarity to shifting priorities.
