The Role: We’re seeking a Creative Strategist / Video Editor who blends creative intuition with performance thinking to build high-performing direct-response ads for paid social. This role is ideal for someone who can take large volumes of UGC and performance assets and transform them into scroll-stopping, conversion-driven creative. This is not a traditional “editor-for-hire” role. You won’t be waiting for perfect storyboards. Instead, you’ll analyze what’s working, extract winning components, and build “Frankenstein” ads that outperform previous iterations across Meta and other paid platforms. You’ll work closely with Growth, Analytics, and Creative teams to ensure every edit is rooted in performance data and audience psychology. What You’ll Do Creative Strategy & Narrative Development Analyze top-performing ads weekly to identify winning hooks, angles, leads, and structures Build “Frankenstein” ads by stitching together proven segments from multiple UGC assets Develop ad narratives, pacing, and structure without needing detailed storyboards Craft scroll-stopping creative rooted in direct-response principles Data-Driven Editing & Optimization Interpret performance metrics such as thumb-stop rate, hold rate, CTR, CAC, and CVR Build hypotheses and translate insights into creative variations for testing Collaborate with Growth, Analytics, and Copy teams to iterate quickly and strategically Editing & Production Edit short-form paid social videos optimized for Meta (and similar platforms) Pull efficiently from large UGC and asset libraries to assemble high-performing edits Create multiple versions testing hooks, intros, CTAs, pacing, and angle shifts Partner with copywriters and creators to guide new shoots or asset needs when required Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Performance Marketing and Creator teams to identify creative gaps Clearly communicate creative rationale: why a hook works, why pacing matters, why an angle converts Operate autonomously while staying aligned with broader performance strategy What We’re Looking For 3–5+ years of experience editing direct-response paid social ads (Meta/TikTok required) Proven success creating performance-driven, iteration-based ads (not just brand edits) Strong understanding of hooks, angles, audience psychology, and platform behavior Ability to interpret performance data and apply insights directly to creative decisions Comfort working within large asset libraries and building narratives from scratch Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple concepts simultaneously Strong communication skills with the ability to explain creative decisions clearly What Success Looks Like You turn a messy folder of assets into a winning ad without hand-holding You can review performance data and immediately know what to build next You proactively bring new creative ideas to the table every week Your ads consistently improve thumb-stop rate, hold rate, and CAC Your Frankenstein ads become repeatable top performers that help scale spend What We Offer: Competitive contractor compensation, commensurate with experience Fully remote, flexible working arrangement Opportunity to work on high-impact performance creative at scale Direct collaboration with growth, analytics, and creative leadership We are a fully remote, global company with a mission to help people feel better every day through the power of superfoods.
