Position Summary The Business Continuity Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s critical business functions can operate during and after emergencies or disruptions. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing business continuity strategies and solutions to minimize risk and maintain operational resilience. What will your job entail? Job Responsibilities: · Conduct BIAs to determine the potential effects of disruptions on business operations and prioritize the recovery of critical functions. · Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure their continuity plans align with the organization’s requirements and standards. · Draft and update business continuity policies to guide the organization’s approach to resilience and recovery. · Evaluate and implement technology solutions that support business continuity, such as data backup and recovery systems. · Assemble and lead cross-functional incident response teams to address specific areas of the BCP during a disruption. · Maintain comprehensive documentation of all business continuity procedures, plans, and recovery protocols. · Plan and execute regular testing of the BCPs and recovery exercises to validate the effectiveness of the plans and identify areas for improvement. · Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding business continuity matters, ensuring clear and consistent communication. Work Experience and Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or Business with 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years of experience. The target salary range for this position is $100,800.00 - $126,000.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
