Job Purpose Job Purpose The Business Development Manager (BDM) drives growth within RWS’s mid-market segment by combining strategic account management with new business development. In this role, you’ll be the trusted advisor for a portfolio of mid-market clients—building strong relationships, understanding their goals, and helping them achieve success through RWS’s language, content, and technology solutions. You’ll identify opportunities to expand partnerships through cross-sell, upsell, and innovative offerings. At the same time, you’ll grow RWS’s footprint by winning new mid-market clients. Partnering with marketing and operational teams, you’ll craft tailored, high-impact solutions that demonstrate RWS’s value and expertise. Job Overview Key Responsibilities Achieve or exceed sales targets and key performance metrics. Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-market accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships aligned with client objectives. Drive revenue growth through renewals, cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities. Identify new business prospects within assigned territory and develop a strong pipeline in collaboration with marketing. Deliver accurate forecasts, performance reports, and strategic insights to senior leadership. Lead data-driven business reviews and client meetings, demonstrating ROI and ongoing value. Maintain CRM accuracy and account health visibility, ensuring proactive risk management and retention. Skills & Experience 5+ years’ experience in language, content, or technology services, managing customer relationships and driving business growth. Understanding of content workflows — from creation and localization to publishing. Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, closing new business, and retaining key accounts. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify complex solutions. Commercially driven team player with strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities. Self-motivated and adaptable, experienced in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and thriving in remote, fast-paced environments. Location US or Canada Benefits Amazing benefits! (Seriously!) Base Pay $65,000 - $95,000 / year and a generous commission Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
