The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Overview Provide sound business decisions to company Executives. Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success. Responsibilities Data Analysis • Develops ongoing strategy for data analysis, • Serves as resource for data entry and validation, • Defines approved metric data sources electronic and manual processes and establishes validation processes, • Develops process for automated data feeds as feasible, • Researches, reports and facilitates benchmarking with best practice facilities, • Educates all levels of staff enabling them to understand data usage implications and potential to improve, • Monitors reports and evaluates performance by accountability level and department: Identifies best performance and opportunities for improvement, • Coordinates department leaders use of internal resources, Decision Support • Assists the ODB Administrator to develop and maintain data quality standards, • Mines data and creates reports in ODB to assist end users meet information needs, • Assists in the preparation of quarterly reports, • Demonstrates ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, acting decisively, and taking effective actions, • Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities, responding quickly to changes in the environment, • Ensures integrity of data feeds; run reconciliation process as needed, • Ensures validity of departmental mapping and characteristics for actionable statistics and benchmarking, • Improves data collection, reporting and utilization of hospital software programs including but not limited to NJIIS, EPCS, GWN, and other applications as assigned, • Improves data collection, reporting and utilization of Vizient ODB benchmarking, • Prepares and provides data overviews, demonstrations and presentations to diverse audiences and other activities and task as assigned, • Works with Vizient to implement, update and maintain software Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred. Continued professional growth, strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented style are required Experience- Working knowledge of healthcare delivery systems/ academic environment dealing with multiple systems, platforms, and structures, patient experience, and clinical systems preferred Knowledge of and experience with advanced Excel and or Vizient ODB Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Benefits And Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
