Job Title: Clinical Care Technician Location: Main Hospital - New Brunswick Department Name: Cardio Prog Care/Telemetry Req #: 0000215131 Status: Hourly Shift: Night Pay Range: $20.11 - $28.67 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: 6 Tower: 6 Tower – Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is a busy 34 bed cardiac unit. We see a range of telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care patient acuities. Types of patients we care for include post cardiac procedures, sepsis, dialysis, heart failure, and respiratory failure. We specialize in post heart transplantation, LVADs and Heart Failure. All of which we are happy to train you for so no previous experience required. A Day in the Life of a Clinical Care Tech (Video Link Below) https://vimeo.com/882180684/661d994b22?share=copy Qualifications: Required: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. • Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association Preferred: • Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred. • Certified nursing assistant preferred. Scheduling Requirements: • Night Shift, 16 hours per week (2 shifts per week), 11p-7:30a • Every other weekend and 3 of 6 holidays Essential Functions: • The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care (i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care) • Providing patient care based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service • Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions • Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s care • Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe care transition Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
