Title: Director of Project Management Location: Warren, OH Shift: 8am - 4:30pm | Monday – Friday Salary: $110,000 – $140,000+ per year, commensurate with experience Director of Project Management Role: Our client is seeking a high-level leader to serve as the Director of Project Management, overseeing the strategic execution of complex technical projects. This role exists to drive operational excellence, standardize project methodologies, and ensure the successful delivery of induction heating and melting solutions to a global customer base. Director of Project Management Responsibilities: • Lead the strategic planning and execution of all technical projects and high-value rebuilds from inception to final commissioning • Implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and reporting mechanisms to ensure organizational alignment • Mentor and coach a team of Project Managers to foster a culture of high performance and professional accountability • Serve as the strategic liaison for executive leadership and key customers regarding project status, risks, and milestones • Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, production, and external vendors to optimize project delivery • Manage departmental resource allocation and resolve critical escalations to protect timelines and budgets • Establish and monitor departmental KPIs and quality assurance standards across the entire project portfolio • Facilitate executive-level meetings to resolve complex stakeholder issues and monitor project costs • Author comprehensive project manuals and financial reports with strategic recommendations for future improvements • Lead complex contract negotiations and post-project evaluations to drive continuous operational growth • Ensure departmental adherence to strict safety standards, confidentiality, and professional communication protocols Director of Project Management Reporting Relationships: The candidate reports to the VP of Operations and provides direct leadership and supervision to the Project Management team. About You: • Demonstrate a deep technical background, specifically within the Engineering or Electrical sectors • Exercise exceptional judgment and emotional intelligence when operating under high-pressure situations • Exhibit executive-level leadership skills and professional customer-facing communication abilities • Manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously while consistently meeting aggressive deadlines • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or possess equivalent professional leadership experience • Maintain 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing professional teams • Possess 5+ years of experience in Project Management within a heavy manufacturing or technical environment • Utilize PMP certification or advanced project management experience to drive departmental success • Maintain a valid U.S. Passport and eligibility for foreign visas to support domestic and international travel requirements • Demonstrate proficiency in financial oversight, including project cost monitoring and budgetary reporting • Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements Next Steps: If you are a technically-minded leader with exceptional judgment and executive presence, we would like to hear from you.
