Russell Tobin is seeking a Validation Engineer for a medical device manufacturer operating in various areas, including medical-surgical solutions, dental solutions, health information systems, and purification and filtration. Job Title: Validation Engineer Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid Lab Environment) Job Type: Contract Length: 12-Months (with potential for extension) Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F Pay Rate: $40 - $65 per hour Responsibilities: • Support quality testing and validation activities including utilizing sterilizers and indicator-related product testing. • Responsible for qualification work (IQ/OQ/PQ), test method validation, protocol/report writing, and documentation review. • Work closely with Quality, R&D, and Lab teams in a cross-functional environment. • Team: 9 people on the Quality side – cross-functional with R&D and Lab teams • Workflow: Hands-on testing, validation documentation, and reporting activities in a regulated medical device setting Requirements: • Prior experience in medical device industry • Experience operating equipment for operations/testing • IQ/OQ/PQ testing experience • Test method validation, documentation, and protocol/report writing • Strong communication, self-motivation, and attention to detail Preferences: • Experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab • Experience with electronic documentation systems (for routing/approvals) and electronic notebooks • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Benefits that Russell Tobin offers: Russell Tobin offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.
