Role: Demand Planning Analyst Location: Burlingame, CA (Remote) Duration: 12+ months with strong possibility of extension Industry: Top-tier Technology client Pay Rate: $58 – $62/hour on W2 Role Overview We’re looking for a Demand Planning Analyst to own demand forecasting for consumer hardware product lines, including connected devices and accessories. This role will build and maintain sell-through and sell-in forecasts, partner with sales and channel operations teams, and present performance insights to business leaders. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly analytical, and comfortable working hands-on with forecasting models, large datasets, and cross-functional stakeholders. This is an execution-focused role for someone who can independently manage business planning activities and translate data into actionable insights. Responsibilities: • Partner with sales account managers, category managers, data analysts, and marketing teams to drive accurate demand planning and identify growth opportunities. • Build bottom-up sell-through and sell-in forecasts using multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets. • Present forecast results and cycle-over-cycle changes to business leaders and key stakeholders. • Forecast and track weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance for consumer hardware products and accessories. • Own actuals-versus-forecast and goal performance analysis. • Identify root causes for performance gaps and develop mitigation plans. • Communicate forecast assumptions and the impact of strategic initiatives on projected outcomes. • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, dependencies, correlations, and opportunities to improve forecast accuracy. • Develop future outlooks and continuously improve forecasting methodologies, tools, and processes. • Partner with channel operations teams to support production, inventory, and product launch decisions. • Present business outcomes and recommendations during reviews with senior stakeholders. • Proactively manage ad-hoc analysis and forecasting requests as business needs evolve. Must Haves: • Demand forecasting and demand planning experience with strong analytical/modeling skills. • Cross-functional collaboration and business presentation experience. • Strong technical proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and similar business tools. • Experience analyzing actuals versus forecasts and identifying performance gaps. • Ability to independently manage priorities and deliver high-quality work. Nice to Haves: • Physical consumer goods or consumer electronics experience. • Experience with forecasting and planning systems. • Strong business strategy and analytical background. • Ability to independently manage business activities and ad-hoc requests.
