How You'll Help Us Connect The World: RUCKUS is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer to strategically manage its business for the West territory. This critical role drives revenue, increases market share, develops strong customer and partner relationships, and develops new business. In this role, you will execute the sales go-to-market strategy and work with channel partners to apply a hands-on approach to driving sales and channel functions Responsibilities • Provide pre-sales engineering network design and technical training in individual or group settings • Develop territory account plans based on business economics and industry trends • Act as a trusted technical advisor to end-customers and partners • Support Territory and Partner Account Managers in driving revenue and meeting quota goals • Conduct technical demos, architectural designs, and presentations for various audiences Qualifications • Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/BA minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Networking Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience • Minimum 5 years of pre-sales or equivalent experience with routing, switching, and Wi-Fi technologies • Professional or associate level networking industry certification preferred (e.g., Cisco CCIE, CCNA, Juniper JNCIA) • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complex problems • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Skills • Proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering and technical sales processes • Ability to communicate technical solutions to executive-level decision makers • Advanced understanding of end-customer business drivers related to network environments • Working knowledge of networking technologies, including 802.11 Wi-Fi and RF design • Familiarity with Wi-Fi design tools such as Ekahau and Hamina Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance.
