Job Title: Cloud Administrator Location: Hybrid - USA Reports to: Chief Information Officer Department Name: Development Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Position Summary The Cloud Administrator is responsible for overseeing Rubicon’s cloud computing strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. Reporting to the CIO, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining all types of cloud infrastructure to support Rubicon’s applications and data platforms. You will collaborate with all members of the IT department to plan, build, and maintain cloud services, integrations, and tools that allow IT and development teams to deliver solutions effectively. Your goal will be to ensure Rubicon’s cloud environments remain stable, secure, and optimized for performance and cost while completing other IT related tasks. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities • Implement and manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines • Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives and provide associated training as required • Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance • Collaborate with IT team to define and implement cloud strategy, architecture, and services • Create and support CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve reliability across cloud environments • Assist with day-to-day SQL database administration tasks, including basic monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting • Develop and maintain clear, in-depth documentation and plans for cloud processes, standards, and configurations • Ensure all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls • Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel • Ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 20% • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. Supervisory Responsibilities: • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Experience & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a cloud administrator or similar IT role • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) • Knowledge of system architecture, networking, and cloud computing • Understanding of scripting for automation • Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodology • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field • Certification as a cloud architect or administrator is a plus • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives. • Travel and/or onsite work will be on an as-needed basis Physical Demands and Working Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
