The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: The Senior SAP ABAP Developer will design, code, unit test, debug, and implement SAP ABAP applications. The developer is required to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions to customers. The SAP ABAP Developer should have strong application development and systems integration experience. This person will adhere to RTX development standards and methodologies. This person will be capable of performing code reviews with peers and be able to recognize good programming techniques and correct coding problems. What You Will Do: • Partner with functional teams to review functional specifications and produce technical design specifications. • Provide level of effort estimates based on functional specifications or business requirements. • Design, code, unit test, debug and implement SAP ABAP applications while working closely with functional teams. • Resolve open development issues and recommend alternate technical approaches. • Proactively provide work status. • Follow development standards and methodology. • Ensure that documentation is properly maintained. • Support the change control process. • Conduct code reviews with peers. • Support application upgrades. Work Defects: Develop test plans for new or modified programs Test, debug, implement, and document fixes Perform issue resolution and root cause analysis • Provide advanced problem solving and technical support. • Working knowledge of the OSS process. • Through knowledge of the ABAP development process. • Understanding of SAP Solution Manager and change management process. • Good understanding of performance tuning. • Good understanding of dialog programming. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 10 years of SAP experience (ME, PP, QM, MM and core capabilities like OO ABAP, ALE/EDI, WebDynpro ABAP) at an SAP A&D company. Knowledge of SAP Gateway architecture and OData services with the ability to engage vendor support on technical and functional issues. Knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS) in modern SAP applications. Expert troubleshooting techniques and ability to escalate issues properly and in a timely fashion with the ability to collaborate and work well with others. Experience with Manufacturing Execution in SAP (either SAP itself or 3rd party apps). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and understanding of Fiori is a plus. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA and scaled agile framework (SAFe). Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation, and negotiations skills. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
