Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. This is a Flexible Part Time role working 20 hours a week Monday through Friday. Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and Raytheon systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization. What You Will Do • Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team • Improve cycle time and lead time • Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring • Create and oversee improvement projects • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes • Perform hardware defect analysis • Participate in corrective action investigations Qualifications You Must Have • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience. • 1+ year of manufacturing experience • Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer • Preferably a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. • Experience creating Work Instructions • Experience with manufacturing • Experience/education with lean manufacturing • Experience/education with technical writing • Experience/education with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis • Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Technical problem solving • Active DOD Security Clearance • Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation • Experience/education with project execution What We Offer • Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
