What You Will Do Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of non-conforming material. Manages/Supports supplier on-boarding and qualification/ certification. Manages source inspection and material release processes. Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials. Proactively supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability. Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies, addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation. Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance. Review and monitor the compliance of quality requirements, mostly compliance to First Article Inspections (AS9102), Process Control Methods (AS13006), and Quality Management Systems (AS9100) by reviewing and analyzing supplier quality documentation and manufacturing process data. Document and report findings against Quality Standards and P&W specifications Read and interpret technical drawings Review and approve FAIR packages, Gage Suitability packages, and Process Control (PPAP) packages Perform basic statistical analysis using Minitab to evaluate and validate Process Control data of Key Characteristics (KCs) Review Process Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis, and PFMEAs, and Process flow maps Perform QMS audits Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required Communicate with parties within and outside of own team English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English. Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE tools and support AS9100 efforts. Obtain CORE certifications Support project management activities Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and travel up to 10%.
