The Radar Design Department designs some of the most innovative land-based shipboard radars in the world and is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with experience in hardware design and analysis to join our team. The position will primarily support design, development, and production focused on phased array antennas and supporting structures, power, and cooling sub-systems. The key responsibilities for this position include technical problem solving, along with technical management in the development of new hardware. What You Will Do Mechanical design, analysis and documentation of hardware and systems Working as part of a small team during product development, part and drawing creation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions. Providing factory and supplier support domestically and internationally Collaborating with senior external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination within and between organizations This position will require interfacing with other mechanical engineers, designers, and structural / thermal analysts, as well as engineers from other disciplines, along with customers and program management Qualifications You Must Have Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) Experience using CAD software, such as CREO or equivalent Qualifications We Prefer Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) and CREO Modelling tools Understanding of electronics packaging, radar antenna design, or precision systems through class projects, professional internships, or academic research Efficient and disciplined process execution behaviors coupled with agility of thought and knowledge of how to appropriately tailor processes to fit the task Demonstrates ability to apply academic engineering knowledge to solve design issues Understanding of the mechanical engineering design processes What We Offer: Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
