Description: Responsible for overseeing the testing of the design, implementation and operating effectiveness and other monitoring activities of the system of quality management, under PCAOB QC 1000, AICPA SQMS No. 1, IESBA ISQM 1, and other applicable regulatory requirementsEvaluate exceptions identified in the design, implementation and operating effectiveness testing and other relevant information about the system of quality management for potential finding or deficiencyPrepare and deliver communications to senior leadership related to system of quality management mattersAssist in other monitoring efforts, especially around those related to thematic negative quality events and poor supervision and reviewDevelop and deliver continuing professional education coursesConsult in the evaluation and determination of root cause and other casual factors that gave rise to negative quality eventsPerform other monitoring and quality initiatives as directed by the Quality Control Inquiry Committee, Chief Risk Officer, Audit Quality and Risk Leader, Audit Quality and Risk Management Partner, potentially representing the firm through participation in professional task forcesResponsible for other various assignments that arise through incident response or international audit quality and regulatory complianceOther duties assigned Requirements: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree (required)Master's degree (preferred)CPA license in principal place of business (required)TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS (Required unless noted)Working knowledge of PCAOB and Generally Accepted Auditing StandardsExperience with audit tools such as CaseWare and IDEAAbility to work collaboratively with others globally (e.g., Canada and India) and across the enterprise (e.g., National Professional Standards group, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk, Audit, Consulting and Tax lines of business.) various divisions in an organization to drive firm-wide quality objectivesAbility to manage complex, firm-wide projects, including developing detailed project plans, timelines, and monitoring framework to ensure successful execution and accountabilityStrong performance history and demonstration of excellenceStrong social and interpersonal skills and ability to adapt quickly to changeDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide teams through complex, long-term projects.SEC audit engagement or PCAOB inspection experience preferredAbility to communicate information clearly and concisely, verbally and orally to diverse audiences across the firm and to outside professional contactsAbility to develop and maintain applicable professional and internal contacts, resources and networksAbility to maintain confidentiality and discretion with respect to internal informationExhibit high attention to detail and strong proofreading skillsEXPERIENCE8+ years relevant experience (required)LEADERSHIP SKILLSStrong analytical, organizational, and planning skills for multiple and or complex projects (required)Collaborates with all levels to achieve results (required)Able to adapt quickly to changes in the firm and regulatory environment (preferred)Ability to respond positively to change circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement (preferred)Ability to work independently and collaboratively (required)Proactive in requesting feedbackAbility to supervise, direct, and review the results of inspections, projects, and assignmentsAbility to lead by understanding team dynamicsAbility to support, effect, and implement change Benefits: At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
