About the Position We are opening our new food-grade warehouse in Chicago and are looking for an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join our operations team. The ideal candidate must have strong warehouse experience, excellent safety habits, and hands-on knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and food-grade environments. Responsibilities • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently. • Load and unload trailers, containers, and inbound/outbound shipments. • Move, stack, and organize pallets in the warehouse according to FIFO and company SOPs. • Assist with order picking, staging, and preparing shipments. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and follow al GMP and food-safety requirements. • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately. • Support warehouse team with general task as needed. Requirements • 2+ years of experience as a forklift operator (required). • Experience in food-grade or GMP-regulated facilities (preferred but strongly considered). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • knowledge of FIFO, warehouse documentation, and basic inventory procedures. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Forklift certification (preferred; company can assist with recertification). • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Schedule • Full-time position • Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday Compensation • $20.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. • Opportunity for growth within the company.
