Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry. Additional duties may include: Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities Royal Community Support is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Female individual who lives in Roselle Park, Union County, NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support. Eleanor is seeking a DSP that can assist with her community engagement and medical appoitments. SCHEDULE: Monday, Thursday, Friday 1:00pm - 5:00pm 4 hours shift 12 hours a week Benefits: • A 401K is a benefit that is available to employees who have successfully completed their 90-day introductory period.
