Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at RouteSmart Technologies, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems that power our route optimization software. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to design scalable, high-performance web applications that meet the evolving needs of our customers. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support our route optimization platform. - You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. - You will collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software. - You will troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. - You will assist in the deployment and monitoring of applications in hybrid or cloud environments. - You will stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements into our systems. What You Bring: - 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - Experience with RESTful API design and development. - Familiarity with database technologies like SQL and NoSQL. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Background in route optimization or logistics software development. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
