Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at RouteSmart Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that power our route optimization software. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable web applications that meet client needs. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support our route optimization platform. - You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. - You will collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software. - You will troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. - You will support deployment and maintenance of applications in hybrid or cloud environments. - You will stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements into our software. What You Bring: - 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - Experience with web frameworks and RESTful API design. - Strong understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with route optimization or logistics software. - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
