Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at RouteSmart Technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based route optimization software. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain web applications focused on vehicle route optimization. - You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. - You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features. - You will troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software to enhance performance and reliability. - You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain competitive. What You Bring: - 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably with a focus on web applications. - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and experience with frameworks like React or Angular. - Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, .NET, or Java. - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Familiarity with database systems including SQL and NoSQL. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in route optimization or logistics software development. - Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and mapping technologies. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. - Prior experience working in Agile development environments.
