As a Retail Operations Manager at Ross Stores, you will take the lead in driving store performance by managing high-volume logistics, front-end efficiency, and team development. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can balance the fast-paced nature of off-price retail with a commitment to providing an organized, friendly shopping environment for our community. Qualifications: • At least five years of leadership experience within a retail management setting. • Proven ability to mentor and elevate a diverse team, from entry-level associates to supervisors. • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret store reports and manage controllable costs. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure. • Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends to support business needs. • Physical capability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary. • A results-oriented mindset with the capacity to exercise independent judgment in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full scope of store operations, including the stockroom, front-end service, and sales floor maintenance. • Drive store profitability by managing payroll hours, minimizing waste, and adhering to strict expenditure budgets. • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process to build a high-performing team while focusing on long-term associate retention. • Streamline merchandise processing to ensure new arrivals move from the truck to the sales floor with urgency and precision. • Execute Loss Prevention strategies to safeguard company assets and train the team on shortage reduction techniques. • Maintain a "treasure hunt" atmosphere by ensuring the store is clean, recovered, and organized according to brand standards. • Handle personnel management duties, including performance coaching, conflict resolution, and compliance with labor laws. • Ensure a safe environment for both shoppers and staff by enforcing all company safety and emergency protocols.
