Description: As a Floor Supervisor at Ross Stores, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high-energy, "treasure hunt" shopping experience that our customers love. Working within one of the nation’s largest off-price retail chains, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the sales floor remains organized, safe, and productive. Qualifications: • Strong verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor. • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing supervisory role is highly preferred. • Proficiency with retail technology, including Point of Sale (POS) systems and handheld scanners. • Comfortable performing retail math and handling cash management tasks. • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Physical capability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 25 lbs, and navigate the entire store layout (bending, reaching, and climbing). Responsibilities: • Serve as the Manager on Duty, overseeing store opening and closing procedures and securing the building. • Direct the flow of the Front End to minimize customer wait times and ensure efficient "Scan and Bag" techniques. • Supervise a team of Associates, providing real-time coaching, task delegation, and performance feedback. • Maintain a safe environment by identifying hazards, monitoring fire alarms, and following all safety protocols. • Oversee the processing of inbound freight, ensuring new arrivals are ticketed, sensor-tagged, and moved to the floor quickly. • Execute Loss Prevention strategies to reduce shortage, including "Code 50" inspections and maintaining high floor visibility. • Manage administrative duties such as payroll edits, bank deposits, and associate scheduling compliance. • Keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, recovered, and merchandised according to company brand standards. • Support the Store Manager with promotional signage updates and floor moves to optimize sales.
