Full Description

Description: As a Field Operations Team Leader at Ross Stores, you will play a central role in maintaining the high-energy, fast-paced environment our "treasure hunt" shoppers love. You aren't just managing a floor; you are acting as the primary heartbeat of the store during your shifts. By stepping into the Manager on Duty role, you will balance the technical side of retail operations with the human side of leadership, ensuring that every associate is empowered and every customer leaves satisfied with their experience. Qualifications: • Proven ability to lead and motivate others, ideally with a background in supervisory retail roles or high-volume customer service. • Clear and effective communication skills, with a professional command of the English language. • Tech-savvy enough to navigate modern retail tools, from digital inventory scanners to POS registers. • Comfortable performing essential retail arithmetic, including managing cash drawers and reconciling daily deposits. • The stamina to stay active on the sales floor for several hours and the ability to lift or move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs. • A flexible mindset regarding scheduling, with the availability to support the team during peak hours, weekends, and holidays. Benefits: • The backing of a Fortune 500 powerhouse with a history of consistent financial growth and stability. • A culture that genuinely prioritizes diversity and ensures every team member feels they belong. • Real paths for upward mobility through structured development and hands-on mentorship. • The chance to work in a collaborative, problem-solving atmosphere where your input helps the team succeed. • A fast-moving work environment that rewards excellence and keeps you engaged every day. Responsibilities: • Take charge of daily store logistics as the Manager on Duty, overseeing everything from secure opening and closing rituals to armored car transfers. • Act as a safety champion by monitoring the building for risks, verifying alarm functionality, and keeping exits unobstructed. • Mentor and guide the associate team, coordinating their daily tasks and break rotations while providing constructive coaching in the moment. • Keep the "treasure hunt" organized by supervising inventory flow, ensuring products are correctly tagged and moved efficiently from the truck to the shelf. • Protect the bottom line by implementing loss prevention strategies and maintaining a high-visibility presence to deter theft and reduce shrink. • Elevate the shopper experience by managing front-end traffic, keeping the fitting rooms tidy, and resolving customer concerns with a positive attitude. • Handle essential back-office duties, including payroll accuracy, daily staff punch audits, and ensuring all financial records meet corporate standards.
