Full Description

Description: As a Field Business Manager at Ross Stores, you will serve as a dynamic leader at the center of our retail operations. This role is designed for someone who can pivot seamlessly between big-picture strategy and the hands-on energy required to run a high-volume "off-price" store. You will be responsible for driving the store's success by empowering your team, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and ensuring every customer enjoys the thrill of the find in our fast-moving retail space. Qualifications: • Strong track record in retail leadership or customer service management, with a passion for developing diverse teams. • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English to effectively interact with associates and patrons. • Tech-savvy enough to navigate modern retail tools, inventory scanners, and POS software. • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage retail arithmetic, cash office reconciliations, and inventory reporting. • A schedule that accommodates the retail cycle, including availability for nights, weekends, and peak holiday seasons. • Ability to meet the physical demands of a busy floor, including standing for long periods and handling merchandise shipments. Benefits: • Stability: Join a flourishing Fortune 500 company with a proven track record of financial growth. • Advancement: Take advantage of comprehensive leadership training programs that prioritize internal promotions. • Community: Work in a supportive environment where teamwork is the foundation of our daily success. • Belonging: Thrive in a culture that genuinely values Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion in every department. • Purpose: Make a difference through local community involvement and charitable initiatives supported by the brand. Responsibilities: • Assume the role of Lead Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store opening, closing, and facility security. • Optimize the checkout experience by managing front-end flow and resolving customer inquiries with a service-first mindset. • Coordinate the end-to-end movement of product, ensuring items move quickly from the delivery truck to the sales floor. • Uphold rigorous standards for loss prevention and workplace safety to minimize risk and protect store inventory. • Maintain high visual standards across all departments, including stockrooms and fitting rooms, to ensure a seamless shopping trip. • Oversee essential back-office functions such as employee scheduling, payroll accuracy, and secure cash handling. • Mentor and train associates in real-time, offering the coaching necessary to meet productivity goals and brand expectations. • Execute corporate merchandising directives, ensuring all price markdowns and floor sets are accurate and timely.
