At Ross Stores, we are looking for a dedicated Area Supervisor to join our leadership team. In this role, you will take ownership of specific departments while serving as the primary point of contact for store-wide operations during your shifts. You will be instrumental in creating that treasure hunt experience our customers love by maintaining a sharp, organized sales floor and leading a team that prioritizes safety and service. Qualifications: • Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity. • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both customers and team members. • Ability to handle operational responsibilities such as opening/closing procedures and cash management. • A keen eye for visual merchandising and maintaining brand standards. • Commitment to workplace safety and a high level of integrity regarding loss prevention. • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business. Responsibilities: • Act as the Manager on Duty, overseeing total store operations, security, and staff productivity during assigned shifts. • Maintain a safe shopping environment by proactively identifying hazards, managing emergency protocols, and securing the building’s entry points. • Lead the merchandising process, ensuring freight is processed urgently, sized correctly, and displayed according to company presentation guidelines. • Foster an exceptional customer experience by modeling professional behavior and coaching associates on service standards. • Manage stockroom organization, including receiving deliveries, handling back-stock, and processing markdowns or re-wraps. • Uphold strict loss prevention standards to protect company assets, including monitoring EAS systems and managing secure cash office transactions. • Direct floor moves and promotional signing to ensure the store remains easy to shop and visually appealing. • Support the Store Leadership team in executing daily operational tasks and maintaining the overall brand image.
