Description: At Ross Stores, the Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between corporate strategy and store-level execution. You will be the driving force behind a cluster of retail locations, tasked with sharpening sales performance and refining operational efficiency across your assigned territory. Responsibilities: • Monitor and elevate the customer service standards across all stores to ensure a premier shopping experience. • Provide hands-on coaching to Store Managers to align their teams with company goals and operational best practices. • Evaluate store performance data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense control. • Champion a safe work environment by identifying hazards and enforcing strict safety protocols. • Facilitate the seamless transition of new inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor to maximize product visibility. • Execute Loss Prevention strategies effectively to minimize shrink and protect company assets. • Foster an inclusive workplace by treating all associates and customers with dignity and respect. • Oversee the financial integrity of the area, ensuring accurate cash handling and compliance with refund policies. • Promote a culture of recognition by celebrating associate milestones and exceptional performance. • Step in to assist with front-end duties or floor merchandising during peak periods or as business needs dictate. • Ensure all locations maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal. • Act as a brand ambassador, consistently modeling the values and ethics of Ross Stores.
