Description: As a Area Performance Manager is tasked with driving operational excellence and hitting sales targets across a group of store locations. This role is about more than just numbers; it is about being a hands-on mentor to store leadership teams, helping them streamline their workflows and elevate the customer experience. You will be the bridge between corporate strategy and floor-level execution, ensuring every store in your area maintains high standards of organization, safety, and productivity. Qualifications: • Proven track record of managing complex operational processes and improving retail efficiency. • Strong grasp of retail business fundamentals, including profit and loss and inventory management. • Skilled at strategic planning, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Natural collaborator who can build rapport with diverse teams and stakeholders. • Lead-by-example mentality, with a focus on motivating and coaching associates. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring professional interactions with everyone from executives to customers. • Comfortable with retail math and the use of store technology like registers, PCs, and handheld tracking devices. • Physical stamina to remain active on the sales floor, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout a shift. • Ability to handle physical requirements such as lifting, pushing, or pulling weight over 25 pounds as needed. • Knowledge of standard store maintenance and supply equipment. Responsibilities: • Foster an inviting shopping atmosphere by ensuring every customer receives attentive and friendly service. • Coach Store Managers on best practices for merchandise presentation, floor recovery, and operational flow. • Maintain a flexible schedule to support various stores within the area based on current business demands. • Prioritize store safety by identifying hazards, keeping exits clear, and promoting a secure environment for all. • Serve as a brand ambassador, consistently modeling professional behavior and adhering to the company dress code. • Facilitate the rapid processing of new freight, ensuring merchandise is sized and displayed according to corporate guidelines. • Monitor financial accuracy by overseeing cash handling, refund procedures, and tender transactions. • Execute Loss Prevention strategies to protect company assets and maintain the integrity of confidential information. • Manage Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) protocols with precision, including the proper disposal of damaged goods. • Utilize company recognition programs to celebrate team wins and boost morale. • Assist with floor duties as needed, including stocking, cleaning, and operating the front end during peak times. • Drive productivity by identifying bottlenecks and implementing more efficient ways of working. • Support the growth of the team by identifying and developing high-potential talent within the area.
