The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and company standards. The ideal candidate brings strong supplier management skills, a strategic mindset, and experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. Key Essential Functions/Duties: Collaborate with company leadership to design and execute strategic sourcing strategies for essential categories such as raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods. Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to understand material requirements and resolve supply issues. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier performance metrics. Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems. Lead or support cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization. Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. 5–7 years of procurement experience. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation. Preferred Skills: Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM). Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with food manufacturing. Familiarity with global sourcing and logistics. *Please note this is an onsite role, remote work is not available.
