Together, we Make the Place. YOUR ROLE As Managing Director, you will lead the overall operations of the hotel, driving performance, profitability, and brand excellence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience, cultivating a strong team culture, and embedding Rosewood's purpose and values into every aspect of the hotel. Your leadership will ensure strategic alignment with ownership and corporate teams, while fostering meaningful relationships with the local community. HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE • Define and champion the hotel's vision and ensure it is reflected in every guest interaction and associates' experience. • Build and mentor a high-performing, inclusive team, driving engagement, development, and cross-functional collaboration across all departments. • Oversee financial performance and operational planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital improvement strategies to optimize profitability and efficiency. • Lead strategic marketing and revenue initiatives to maximize revenue, occupancy, and brand visibility. • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by continuously enhancing service standards, quality, and innovation across all touchpoints. • Foster strong relationships with community partners and key stakeholders, including ownership, enhancing the hotel's cultural integration and reputation within the local and global hospitality landscape. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and brand standards, while maintaining rigorous quality and cleanliness across the property. • Drive sustainability and impact initiatives, promoting responsible hospitality and environmental stewardship in alignment with Rosewood's values. COULD THIS BE YOU? • You bring proven leadership experience as a Managing Director or General Manager within luxury hotel brands, with a passion for service excellence. • You are a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and organizational skills, capable of leading complex operations. • You communicate with clarity and confidence, building trust with internal and external stakeholders. • You understand the importance of brand integrity and consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences. • You are passionate about using business as a force for good, driving positive impact for people and planet. • You lead with purpose, inspiring teams through clear direction, empowerment, and mentorship. This position is open to candidates based in California . The salary range for this position is $290,000-$320,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, location, and education.
