Maintain cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment and facility by performing routine cleaning, equipment preparation, and waste disposal tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to stand entire shift, work in hot environments, handle cleaning chemicals, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Summary: The Laundry Industrial Equipment Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of the Central Laundry Facility. This position ensures laundry equipment is properly prepared for daily operations, assists with facility upkeep, and supports the overall laundry service team. Responsibilities: • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including: Blowing down laundry equipment, dusting the laundry facility, taking out trash, and disposing of garbage properly. • Prepare laundry machines for operation by turning on the equipment pre-shift. • Safely handle and maneuver air hoses to clean laundry machines, including connecting and reconnecting hoses as needed. • Transport garbage bins and wheel them outside for disposal. • Assist with general facility organization and cleanliness to maintain a safe work environment. • Must be able to stand for the entire 8-hour shift and be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, climbing up a ladder, and handling equipment such as air hoses and trash bins. • Adhere to the drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policies of the company. • All other duties as assigned. Experience/Qualifications: • Ability to stand for the entire shift. • Ability to work in a hot environment. • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals. • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently • Must be able to legally work in the USA. Education and Certification(s)/License(s): • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
