Full Description

A Sales Associate is responsible for growing sales in their assigned sales territory. This will require travel, face-to face meetings, phone calls, email, and video conferencing. The Sales Associate will employ prospecting, excellent communication skills, established selling procedures, and extensive product knowledge to develop and nurture a customer base. This role will also require support and attendance at trade shows as necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Establishes business relationships with new prospects while selling company products and services • Prospects for new business daily while maintaining and updating pipeline information through the company CRM tools • Develops strategies for sales growth with new and current clients • Create Targeted lists of potential prospects and execute outbound campaigns to generate leads and new business • Trade Shows: Attend all company trade shows. Prior to the trade shows, coordinate outbound prospecting plan and set up meetings with potential clients for the show. Develop targeted lists of booths to visit while at the show and coordinate with Sales Directors to schedule walking the show. Set up and tear down displays at all company trade shows. Conduct follow-up calls and meetings with prospects from shows. • Works with Customer Service Team to ensure customer information is accurate in the system, including but not limited to billing address, ship to location(s) and contact information. Forwards changes in addresses or discrepancies to Accounting for processing • Informs customers of pricing, shipping date, order tracking, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer • Provides timely and accurate proposals and information to customers • Partners with the sales, production, customer service and quality teams to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations • Provides timely feedback to all appropriate internal and external parties regarding service failures, customer concerns and changes in customer order volume, large orders, or volume changes which can have an effect the min/max inventory, pricing, etc. • Obtains new customer documentation to set up accounts • Prepares and sends product samples and/or quotes, or forwards requests to Customer Service Assistant for execution • Prepares customer correspondence REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Prior cold outbound sales experience preferred • CRM experience preferred • Prior experience prospecting new customers with demonstrated success developing new business • Ability to create targeted customer lists and execute outreach plans • Ability to complete tasks and solve problems with limited guidance and direction • Strong business acumen; understands business, products, customers, and suppliers • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and active listening • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up • Assertive, takes initiative and leverages network and uses creativity to build new business • Consultative; ability to positively connect with a wide variety of customers • Comfortable in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment • Takes pride in going above and beyond for customers • Must possess Microsoft Product efficiency particularly in Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel and Office; experience with video conferencing platforms such as Skype, Microsoft Team and/or Go To Meetings • Experience with SAP Software preferred but not necessary PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS: • Located in the Midwest is preferred or willing to move • Work is mostly sedentary • Must be able to interpret a computer monitor • Must be able to hear and communicate with vendors and customers over the telephone, email, and in person • Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to ten pounds, bend at the knee and waist level. • Occasionally lift and carry up to twenty pounds, kneel, walk, stand, and reach above shoulder level to access filing cabinets and shelves • Travel is required Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $65,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
