Lead and manage hybrid infrastructure operations including data centers, cloud platforms, networks, security, and factory connectivity while ensuring uptime, performance, cost control, and compliance.
8+ years managing hybrid infrastructure with 3+ years leadership experience, strong hands-on skills in Azure/GCP, Windows/Linux, virtualization, networking, security, project/change management, and willingness to work on-site.
Job Description: Overview Rogue Fitness is hiring a hands-on infrastructure leader to run our hybrid environment—data centers, Azure/GCP, networks, security, and factory connectivity. You’ll own uptime, performance, and cost across servers, storage, backup/DR, collaboration tools, and OT networks, while partnering with SRE and application teams to keep releases smooth and stable. The mandate is simple: reliable services, disciplined change, and measurable improvements in throughput, cost, and user experience. Responsibilities Core infrastructure operations: Windows/Linux, virtualization, storage, backups, and disaster recovery—standardized via infrastructure-as-code and live dashboards. Cloud platforms: Plan, provision, and optimize Azure/GCP (compute, networking, IAM, cost control); enforce guardrails and landing zones. Networks & OT connectivity: Design and secure LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, and segmentation; maintain reliable PLC/machine connectivity on the factory floor. Reliability & release support: Partner with SRE to define SLIs/SLOs, harden CI/CD paths, and reduce MTTR through unified observability and incident practices. Cybersecurity & compliance: Implement zero-trust controls, patching, identity, logging/SIEM, and audit readiness (NIST/ISO). Service management: Own the service catalog, SLAs, capacity planning, vendor contracts, and budget. Change & project delivery: Run upgrades/migrations with clear change control, risk plans, and stakeholder comms. Facilities interface: Coordinate with facilities on power, cooling, UPS/generators, and physical security for server rooms. People leadership: Hire, coach, set OKRs, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) preferred. 8+ years managing hybrid on-prem/cloud infrastructure; 3+ years leading managers or senior engineers. Strong, hands-on experience with Azure or GCP; Windows Server/AD, Google Workspace, virtualization (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V), Terraform/Bicep, and modern observability. Proven track record running networks and security at scale: VLANs, firewalls/IDPS, VPN/SD-WAN, zero-trust/IAM, and incident response. Experience working with SRE/DevOps teams (CI/CD, metrics, rollback) to support ecommerce and internal apps. Familiarity with industrial/OT networking (e.g., Modbus/EtherNet-IP, segmented VLANs) in a manufacturing setting. Solid project/change management, vendor management, and budget ownership. Managed multi-site data centers and cloud landing zones with audited DR tests. Prior leadership in online retail, manufacturing, or warehousing environments is preferred. Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, Azure Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus. Experience with edge security/CDN and WAF (e.g., Cloudflare, Google Cloud Armor, AWS WAF) is preferred.. Exposure to GPU/AI-adjacent workloads is a plus. Able and willing to work on-site in Columbus, OH. By applying to Rogue, regardless of the platform you choose to use, you are agreeing to Rogue's preferred methods of communication (i.e. text message). Submitting an application, through whatever online forum is ultimately used, constitutes a knowing and voluntary agreement to send and receive text messages during the recruitment process.
