Job Description: Rocky Mount Treatment Center is now hiring a medical receptionist to join our team! Our thriving medicated assisted treatment program needs an experienced Medical Receptionist who can take over the administrative duties involved with coordinating patient schedules, taking patient payments as well as bookkeeping, file management and office organization. We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. Rocky Mount Treatment Center is a private clinic offering outpatient Methadone and Buprenorphine maintenance treatment programs to individuals who abuse opiates including: OxyContin, Heroin, Percocet, Vicodin, Oxycodone, etc. Our rehabilitation center provides a caring and therapeutic environment for opioid or heroin drug treatment. Certified substance abuse counselors, licensed nurses, and a physician are on staff at our center to deliver the best care. Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 5:30- 1:00 pm. (Weekend hours, as needed). Job Duties: • Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone. • Answering the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette. • Scheduling appointments. • Taking patient payments. • Completing Medicaid billing weekly. • Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized. • Facilitates patient flow by notifying appropriate staff of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff. • Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner. • Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment. • Protect patient confidentiality. Education Requirements: • Education: High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED). Experience and Skills: • Experience: For entry-level, previous office administration or receptionist experience or a minimum of one-year of work experience in a medical office setting. • Experience in Medicaid billing is highly desired. • Skills: Telephone etiquette, customer service, basic word and excel programs, time management, multi-tasking, organization, and scheduling.
