## Key Role Overview The Strategic Account Manager will shape and grow global partnerships with strategic customers by representing the company's full portfolio of products and solutions and delivering value at the executive level. This role leads global collaboration across extended teams, acts as the primary liaison between strategic accounts and internal product groups/divisions, and drives long-term growth and consistent delivery across regions. The position requires significant travel (~50%) and executive-level engagement to expand the company’s product and service footprint. ## Key Responsibilities - Represent Rockwell Automation's full portfolio of products and services, continuously building expertise in customer-critical areas. - Engage with senior and executive leaders, demonstrating clear economic value tied to business drivers, KPIs, and competitive advantages. - Drive growth through collaboration and indirect leadership of extended teams, balancing efforts across multiple customer levels. - Build trust-based, strategic relationships with key sponsors, formalizing expectations and creating growth strategies for all products and services globally. - Quickly qualify opportunities to focus resources on high-potential activities. - Ensure the Strategic Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by developing strong internal partnerships across product groups and global teams. - Participate in customer planning and implementation teams to provide early input and recommend strategies that deliver mutual benefit. - Identify new growth opportunities across products and services for shared success. - Develop and communicate an annual Strategic Account plan in coordination with global sales and support teams, tracking progress throughout the year. - Expand global presence and ensure consistent delivery across regions. - Travel as needed to communicate objectives, engage extended teams, and pursue global growth opportunities. - Define and share mutually agreed success stories as industry references to support global selling efforts. - Model executive-level sales presence and mentor colleagues when appropriate. - Apply company policies and procedures in compliance with legal, safety, quality, and environmental standards. ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience. - Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; the company will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening. - Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time. - Valid driver's license. ## Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. - Typically requires 5+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration, or an engineering firm, or as a graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program. - Experience managing global accounts. - Applied experience selling control/information solutions into target industries. - Experience selling at senior management and executive levels and conveying products/services in a way that demonstrates tangible economic value. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not disclosed in the posting. - Health insurance including medical, dental, and vision. - 401(k) retirement plan. - Paid time off. - Parental and caregiver leave. - Flexible work schedule arrangements to be coordinated with manager. ## Additional Information - Work arrangement: remote flexibility is indicated (#LI - Remote) and a flexible work schedule is offered; the role is based in the Nashville, Tennessee area and supports global account activities. - This position is part of a job family; experience will determine position level and compensation. - Equal Opportunity Employer; accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities (contact services team at +1 (844) 404-7247). - The role requires compliance with company legal, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
