Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the administrative functions of our behavioral health department, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication among staff and clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health and wellness, with an understanding of various therapeutic approaches. Responsibilities • Provide administrative support to the behavioral health team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining client records. • Assist in the coordination of therapy sessions and workshops, ensuring all materials are prepared and available. • Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information. • Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Support billing processes by verifying insurance information and processing claims as needed. • Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve client experiences. Skills • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff. • Knowledge or experience in art therapy, psychopharmacology, and gender issues counseling is highly desirable. • Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for documentation and reporting purposes. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. • Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to supporting individuals in their mental health journey.
