The Director of Field Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing company-wide field operations with a strong focus on manpower strategy, labor forecasting, productivity performance, and executive reporting. This role partners closely with executive leadership to ensure the field organization is properly staffed, highly productive, and operating against standardized performance metrics that support growth and profitability. This position requires a strategic operator who can analyze data, build scalable systems, and drive accountability across field teams. Key ResponsibilitiesCompany-Wide Manpower Strategy • Develop and execute a comprehensive manpower strategy aligned with company growth, service demand, and operational goals • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring targets, and technician deployment • Ensure staffing models support both short-term execution and long-term scalability Labor Forecasting & Capacity Planning • Forecast labor requirements using historical trends, seasonality, and business projections • Monitor capacity utilization and proactively address gaps or inefficiencies • Align labor plans with revenue goals, customer demand, and service-level expectations Productivity Metrics & Standardization • Establish and track productivity KPIs across field operations • Standardize performance benchmarks, workflows, and best practices • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and technician utilization Executive Reporting & Operational Insights • Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on field performance • Translate operational data into actionable insights and recommendations • Maintain dashboards related to manpower, capacity, productivity, and field efficiency Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in field operations, service operations, or workforce management • Proven success with labor planning, forecasting, and operational analytics • Experience building and managing productivity metrics and standardized processes • Strong executive communication and reporting skills • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability in the field Preferred Experience • Experience in multi-location or service-based organizations • Background in home services, trades, or technician-based environments • Familiarity with field service management platforms (e.g., ServiceTitan) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
