Maintain resident files, submit insurance authorizations, liaise with families and agencies, monitor deposits, maintain fund accounts, and reconcile cash accounts monthly.
At least one year experience in a medical or related facility, knowledge of state and federal regulations, proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, strong English skills, independent decision-making, tactful communication, and commitment to professional development.
Experience Must have, at least one year of experience in a related capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, preferred. Reports to: Comptroller Job Function; We are currently seeking an energetic, friendly, reliable and organized individual to work in the Buisness office o f a skilled nursing facility. This individual must be self-motivated, with exceptional customer service skills. The ability to multi-task is required for this role. Job duties include the following: • Maintaining residents files • Submitting insurance authorization requirements • Finance offices liaison with families, residents and community agencies • Monitor status of incoming direct deposits from various sources ( SSI, SSA and Pensions) • Maintaining resident fund accounts and PNA Ledgers • Reconciling Cash accounts on a montly basis Specific Requirements Working knowledge of state and federal regulations. Must have experience working with excel, Microsoft word and outlook Must be able to read, speak, write and understand the English Language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents and family members. Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must possess patient, tact and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents, if necessary. Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development. Ability to recognize and later describe persons associated with nursing homes safety and security.
