As a Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with our HR department and accounting team to gather and verify payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional service to our employees. You will utilize payroll software and systems to efficiently process payroll and maintain employee records, all while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws. Calculate wage adjustments, garnishments, and deductions as needed. Collaborate with HR to ensure proper reporting of new hires, terminations, and employee changes. Generate payroll reports for management analysis and budgeting purposes. Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Stay updated on payroll compliance regulations and industry best practices. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of payroll processes. Proficient in payroll software and MS Excel; experience with other accounting tools is a plus. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees and management.
