About The Role: We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Business Process team within Operations Strategic Support. The Business Process team provides process analysis and improvement solutions; utilizing technology enablers like Appian, LiquidOffice, Automation Anywhere and DocuSign to build custom applications that automate the enterprise’s core processes. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for project execution and change management, testing automation and troubleshooting, defect tracking, testing environments and continuously improving process quality. The Impact You'll Make: Independently review and analyze automated changes to the firm’s business processes. Partner with Business Process Analysts, Business Process Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to determine expected results of changes. Document automated test plans and test cases appropriately taking into consideration the scope of change, risk profile and technical complexities. Identify and communicate risks to project delivery; recommend mitigation strategies. Design and develop automated test scripts utilizing an existing automation framework. Identify appropriate technology required for effective and sustainable automated testing. Maintain and update automation scripts for the Appian, LiquidOffice Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) and other vendor platforms as needed. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans based on user story acceptance criteria. Execute automated and manual test cases; identify undesired or unexpected behaviors. Schedule recurring automated tests to monitor the quality of processes and project releases. Analyze the results of test runs and determine the root cause of the deficiencies. Document and communicate results and issues to project teams and key stakeholders. Identify the proper components required to create and maintain testing environments. Support project teams as projects are migrated through development, user acceptance and production environments. Research quality assurance automation standards and best practices. Collaborate with quality assurance associates in Information Technology; be an active member in the QA Community of Practice (QA CoP). Continuously deliver on quality assurance improvements that positively affect Baird’s business units. Partner with cross-functional project teams; focus on building quality project deliverables. What You'll Bring To Baird: A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a proven track record of delivering substantial business results. Experience should cover areas of quality assurance, process analysis, business analysis, software development, and project management, preferably within a diversified financial services firm. BBA/BS in Management Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Business Administration or Finance is preferred, but equivalent experience is also considered. Proficient with Java and Python programming languages. Proficient with Selenium Web Driver automated testing platform. Familiar with Cucumber and Locust Testing Frameworks. Understand database architecture and querying; proficiency with SQL. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex problem solving. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills leading to trusting relationships with business partners and their leadership team. Ability to explain technical aspects across the organization; communicating appropriately to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge. Demonstrated relationship builder; able to establish both internal and external working relationships in order to identify and implement strategies for business growth. Change agent who is able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and with associates at all levels and in all areas of the firm. Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Visio. Experience with load and performance testing is considered a plus. Experience with Application Interface Program (API) testing and/or development is considered a plus.
