Partner with finance stakeholders to optimize and enhance the Workday Financial Management platform, translating business needs into system solutions.
Requires 5-10 years of experience with Workday Financial modules, strong understanding of global finance processes, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
This role partners closely with global Finance stakeholders to evaluate, redesign, and continuously enhance our client's Workday Financial Management platform. The Workday Finance Product Lead blends deep knowledge of financial processes with strong Workday expertise to improve efficiency, data integrity, and overall user experience across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities • Gain and maintain a deep understanding of the current Workday Financial Management environment and its global deployment. • Build strong, trusted partnerships with Finance leadership and key stakeholders. • Translate Finance business objectives into technology-driven solutions by identifying gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities within Workday. • Create and present a clear, actionable roadmap that aligns Finance and IT priorities with business goals. • Define initiative scope, gather and document business requirements, and design appropriate Workday and related system solutions. • Collaborate with Program Management to plan and sequence upcoming initiatives. • Own and lead the functional delivery of active Workday Finance initiatives. • Proactively communicate risks, limitations, and challenges, maintaining a solution-oriented mindset. • Investigate Workday application issues, clearly communicate findings, and coordinate resolution efforts with internal teams and Workday as needed. • Advise team members on Workday configuration decisions and support the design of integrations with Finance and enterprise systems. • Support compliance activities and contribute to risk assessment efforts related to financial systems. Qualifications & Experience • 5–10 years of experience designing and delivering Workday Financial Management solutions within a global organization. • Hands-on experience with Workday Finance modules such as Core Financials, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Adaptive Planning, Expenses, Projects, and Reporting. • Familiarity with Workday integrations (native and middleware-based); exposure to Extend and Accounting Center is a plus. • Strong understanding of global finance processes, reporting requirements, and operational challenges (CPA or similar finance certification is highly desirable). • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex or unfamiliar environments.
