7+ years credit management experience, proficiency in commercial loan products, coaching skills, and familiarity with COCC/Insight and LoanVantage systems preferred.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead and oversee credit underwriting and commercial loan administration functions within our Credit Department. This role places a strong emphasis on staff development, training, and ensuring streamlined processes for effective pipeline management, loan documentation, loan closings, and overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a team of commercial credit analysts/underwriters responsible for assessing credit risk, preparing credit proposal summaries, conducting annual reviews, processing loan modifications, and developing internal approval documentation for both performing and non-performing borrowers. • Oversee commercial loan administrators managing loan documentation, closing processes, and specialized servicing tasks. • Drive training initiatives to enhance team expertise, support career development, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. • Ensure efficient workflow by managing the department pipeline and chairing weekly pipeline meetings to oversee progress and prioritization. • Personally underwrite complex commercial loan requests, ensuring sound assessments and proposals. • Collaborate with senior leadership to propose and implement policies and procedures aimed at optimizing credit operations. • Actively contribute to various bank committees as assigned. • Maintain adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in hands-on credit management, some familiarity with risk scoring models • Must be proficient at analyzing and structuring all standard commercial loan products as well as specialty products such as asset-based financing, leveraged loans, investment commercial real estate mortgages, etc. • A working knowledge of small business lending, SBA, and exception-managed portfolios preferred • Strong track record in coaching, mentoring, developing, and supervising credit analysts/underwriters. • Familiarity with the COCC/Insight operating system is preferred • Familiarity with the LoanVantage preferred
