We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrative Assistant to support a busy district office in North Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who excels at keeping daily operations organized, communicating professionally, and managing a wide range of administrative priorities. The person in this role will contribute to meeting coordination, correspondence, records management, and office support while serving as a reliable resource for staff and visitors. Responsibilities: • Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities to keep the office running efficiently and professionally. • Organize meeting and conference logistics, including preparing materials, scheduling details, and onsite support when needed. • Arrange business travel for staff, including airfare and hotel bookings, and help manage related itineraries. • Maintain accurate filing systems and records for contracts, grievances, and other district documentation. • Respond to incoming phone calls and email inquiries with professionalism and timely follow-up. • Draft, format, proofread, and distribute business correspondence, letters, reports, and other office documents. • Enter, update, and manage information within office databases and tracking systems with a high level of accuracy. • Support large mailings, office supply purchasing, and coordination of maintenance or repairs for office equipment. • Assist with light bookkeeping activities such as audit preparation support and monthly bank reconciliations. • Travel occasionally to help support meetings, conferences, and district events as required. • 5+ years of experience in an administrative support, office coordination, or senior assistant role. • Strong background in administrative assistance, reception support, and handling inbound calls in a detail-oriented office setting. • Demonstrated ability to manage data entry, document preparation, proofreading, and database upkeep with accuracy. • Experience coordinating travel arrangements, meetings, and office communications across multiple priorities. • Proficiency with standard office software and business correspondence formatting. • Ability to maintain organized records, manage confidential information, and follow established procedures. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support staff, visitors, and leadership effectively.
