Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee payroll operations for our organization in Gresham, Oregon. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to employees.Responsibilities:• Process payroll on a semi-monthly basis for salaried, hourly, and grant-funded employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Verify and review timesheets, accruals, and benefit deductions to maintain compliance and accuracy.• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data within the payroll system.• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, as well as internal company policies.• Prepare and submit required tax filings, including W-2s, 941s, and other state or local tax documentation.• Reconcile payroll reports with general ledger entries to ensure financial accuracy.• Assist with employee benefit enrollments and perform benefit reconciliations.• Address employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and withholdings in a detail-oriented and timely manner.• Support audit processes, including annual financial audits and those related to grants.• Collaborate closely with HR to streamline onboarding and offboarding processes in the payroll system.Please reach out to Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half to review this position.
