About the Role We are looking for "Michigan Based Candidates Only" and must come from Banking and/or Credit Union industries! This highly visible leadership position offers significant growth potential and oversees a team of 20 across Michigan and West Palm Beach, FL (no travel initially but may change). Responsibilities • This is a heavy sales focus role, and our client is seeking a sales professional in the mortgage industry specific to banking and/or credit unions. • 40% Driving volume and supporting Mortgage Lending Officers (MLOs) • 25% Strategic leadership • 35% Operational oversight The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, creative, and decisive. This is not a producing manager role, but you will engage in sales calls for escalations, understand pipeline opportunities, and recommend new products based on market demand. You’ll champion initiatives to boost production, identify market gaps, launch new products, and implement systems for efficiency and scalability. Qualifications • 7+ years in the mortgage industry. • 5+ years in leadership roles. • Bachelor’s degree (designation not critical) mandatory Required Skills • Must come from Banking and/or Credit Union focused on mortgages. • Strong sales background (top priority). • Will look at Mortgage Brokers and/or MLO who stepped into leadership. • Tech-savvy: ability to evaluate loan origination software for implementation. • Comfortable with system implementation and process improvement. • Ability to work closely with senior leadership, IT, and marketing. • Client-facing for escalations and shadowing calls (not day-to-day). • In office to start with ability for hybrid schedule once comfortable with the role.
