We are looking for a dedicated Medical Administrator to join our team in Warren, Michigan. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, handling prescription refills, and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. This is a contract opportunity with potential for a long-term position for individuals with a strong background in medical administration and excellent organizational skills.Responsibilities:• Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling for nurses and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.• Process and oversee prescription refill requests in a timely and accurate manner.• Obtain necessary authorizations from insurance providers to support patient treatments.• Screen and respond to patient calls, addressing inquiries and providing appropriate assistance.• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with precision and confidentiality.• Verify medical insurance details to ensure eligibility and coverage.• Collaborate with healthcare staff to facilitate efficient communication and workflow.• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and manage administrative tasks.• Conduct patient intake and assist with initial assessments as needed.• Support the team in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
